Terms & Conditions

1. Business Information

Confections by Carpenter is a Texas cottage food operation located in Azle, Texas. We operate under the Texas Cottage Food Law and Food Freedom Act. All products are made in a home kitchen not inspected by the Department of State Health Services or a local health department.

2. Ordering

All orders must be placed through our website order form, online shop, or by direct invoice.
A minimum notice of [X days/weeks, you decide] is required for custom orders. Holiday specials and pre-sales are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
Orders are not considered final until payment has been received in full.

3. Payment

Payment is due in full at the time of ordering unless otherwise specified.
We accept payments via [list your accepted methods: credit card, PayPal, Zelle, etc.].
All sales are final. Refunds or credits are issued only at the discretion of Confections by Carpenter.

4. Pick-Up & Delivery

Local pick-up is available in Azle, TX and Bridgeport, TX (MoMo’s Consignment Shop for certain items). Exact address and pick-up instructions will be provided after checkout.
Delivery or courier services may be arranged for an additional fee, subject to availability.
Once an order leaves our possession (via pick-up or courier), Confections by Carpenter is not responsible for damage, delays, or improper handling.

5. Shipping

Select items may be available for shipping within Texas/the U.S. (non-perishable products only).
All shipped items are packaged with care, but we are not liable for delays, damage, or loss caused by USPS, UPS, or any third-party shipping provider.
Customer assumes all risk once tracking information is provided.

6. Allergens & Special Diets

Our products are made in a kitchen that processes common allergens including dairy, eggs, wheat, nuts, and soy.
We cannot guarantee that any product is allergen-free.
Customers are responsible for communicating dietary restrictions before ordering.

7. Product Care & Storage

Most baked goods are best enjoyed fresh within 2–3 days.
Cookies should be stored in an airtight container at room temperature.
Cakes should be refrigerated if not consumed within 24 hours. Allow cakes to reach room temperature before serving.
Time/temperature control for safety (TCS) foods (e.g., cheesecakes, custard pies) will include safe handling instructions on labels.

8. Holiday Specials & Pre-Orders

Holiday products are limited edition and subject to availability.
Pre-orders must be picked up during the designated window. Unclaimed orders will not be refunded.
Due to the perishable nature of our products, no returns or exchanges are accepted.

9. Liability

Confections by Carpenter is not liable for illness, injury, or damages once products are picked up, delivered, or shipped.
Customers assume all responsibility for proper storage, handling, and consumption of our products.

10. Changes to Terms

Confections by Carpenter reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Updated versions will be posted on our website.
